Welcome to the 2018 Legacy Conference! Legacy is a biannual conference that mobilizes and equips the Church to reveal the love of Jesus Christ to Muslims. In accordance with the teachings of evangelist Samuel Marinus Zwemer, known as the “Apostle to Islam,” Legacy builds and supports a community of church leaders, scholars, pastors, and missionaries who follow the example of Jesus in bringing forth the fruit of the Great Commission.

Biblical Missiology Pre-Conference! 
Issues and Approaches in Bible Translation

Wed May 30, 2pm – Thu May 31, 12:15pm


For the first time ever, the Biblical Missiology society is holding a pre-conference consultation, open to the public. This meeting will be a consultation and strategy session on how to proceed in the field of bible translation, including discussion about forming a new Bible Society based on solid biblical principles and linguistic accuracy. Attendees are invited to participate in the discussion. 

Registration for the Consultation is 'within' the Legacy registration process.

*Dinner on Wednesday and lunch on Thursday will be available for a nominal fee.

This three-day gathering features talks, breakout meetings, and Q&A sessions hosted by four of the most respected and prominent leaders in the field of Muslim evangelism. In addition, while Legacy is a necessary resource for anyone involved in reaching out to Muslims, it is also a comprehensive introduction for those who seek a deeper understanding of their calling.



Rev. Mark Durie

Dip Min, BA (Hons), BTh (Hons), PhD, ThD, FAHA, completed an Arts Degree with First Class Honours and a University Medal in Germanic Languages and Linguistics.  He gained his PhD in Linguistics from the Australian National University in 1984 with a study of the language of the Acehnese, a Muslim people of Indonesia.  He conducted research field work in Aceh during the 1980’s and 1990’s, producing several books, and many research articles. The Acehnese dialects he documented were among those obliterated by the Indian Ocean Tsunami in 2004. Read More ->


Georges Houssney

is the founder and president of Horizons International, a 25 year-old global missions organization dedicated to proclaiming the gospel, discipling the nations and equipping the church. Georges founded Horizons International in 1990.  Since then, Georges has grown Horizons into a dynamic and multi-faceted international ministry with over 80 staff members in ten countries. Georges is the author of the widely acclaimed book Engaging Islam. He has authored two other books in Arabic, an Arabic Bible study, and the widely circulated ReachOut magazine. Jay Smith

earned his bachelor’s degree from Messiah College, his master of divinity from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (now Palmer Seminary), and his master of theology in missiology, with an emphasis in Islam, from Fuller Theological Seminary. He recently completed his doctoral dissertation at the Melbourne School of Theology on the life and work of Carl Pfander, Ph.D., a German missionary and apologist/polemicist who worked with Muslims in Central Asia and India and pioneered the use of apologetics and polemics with Muslims. Amani Mostafa

hosts a weekly Muslim Woman show on the al Hayat Channel. This weekly, 90-minute program reaches out to Muslim women, as well as Muslim Background Believers, giving them a forum to discuss many issues important in their lives. The Muslim Women show is hosted by former Muslim women who lived under the oppression of Islam but have been set free through faith in Jesus Christ. Amani also speaks around the globe on the topic of Islam and is a much sought after teacher and discipler. Read More ->
